WHAT WE DO

We create transformational change within our social systems by changing the patterns that we use to create them. Creating new patterns that provide a stronger foundation for collaboration and partnership rooted in equity and justice are essential if we are going to meet our environmental and social goals.

OUR FOCUS

  • CHANGING EXISTING PATTERNS

Creating new patterns that provide a stronger foundation for collaboration and partnership rooted in equity and justice are essential if we are going to meet our environmental and social goals.

Our 2030 and beyond goal multi-stakeholder cohorts will have designed and implemented new patterns of working together and finding impactful and effective solutions. Non-mainstream and mainstream organizations and other stakeholders have aligned their core activities to deliver effective policy, advocacy, analysis and engagement using an equity and justice lens.

  • DESIGNING AND DEVELOPING EQUITABLE AND JUST POLICY

Significantly change the process of how policy is designed and developed in order to reflect the overall need of both the inside and outside stakeholders by centering equity and justice as the lens.

Our 2030 and beyond goal is to address the climate and environmental issues and impacts through policy, advocacy, analysis and engagement using an equity and justice lens that is not siloed.

  • INFLUENCING LAW, REGULATION AND POLICY

The climate and environment systems have policy and regulatory structures that do not meet the needs of people or the planet. These systems need to align with the environmental and social goals. Creating new patterns to challenge the status quo is essential if we plan to have transformative system change.

Our 2030 goals are that civil society organizations will influence climate and environment law, regulation and policy significantly ; and that climate environmental regulation, law, policy and industry standards support and align with the Paris Agreement, environmental and climate justice, and just transition principles.

  • BUILDING THE PATTERN CHANGE COMMUNITY

We build the ability of our community to develop its size and diversity, facilitating connections, nourishing the people within it, advancing new thinking, and by supporting the development and growth of initiatives for transformative change using an equity and justice lens.

Our 2030 Goal is that our community of committed and connected pattern change-makers have demonstrated their power to transform the climate and environment system and design policy and develop equitable and just policies, change existing patterns mainstream climate and environment systems, build a committed community, and influence law, regulation and policy.
